A real highway from Ensenada to Guerrero Negro!

The Governor of Baja California Jaime Bonilla, announced yesterday that the president of the republic of Mexico Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, has already authorized the budget to be spent in the coming years to expand the highway from Ensenada to Guerrero Negro to four lanes, which will provide greater security for motorists.

For the first stage, 500 million pesos are ready, as explained by Governor Jaime Bonilla Valdez before residents of San Quintin who were excited and happy to receive the announcement.

It is estimated that the total cost of this road expansion will be $13 billion pesos ($681,695,820.00 Dlls).

From Ensenada to Lazaro Cardenas the road will be extended by 20.80 meters (22.7 Yd). From that point to Guerrero will be 12 meters (13.1 Yd).

This road (Mex 1) is currently too narrow and dangerous. Since 1973 no outstanding investment had been made to improve it.
