Cold Front from the Pacific over Baja California Peninsula - RAINS

Broad surface ridging prevails over the offshore forecast waters West of Baja California ahead of an approaching cold front, leaving soft and heavy rains concentrated this Sunday over Los Cabos.

Winds will shift to southerly across the Gulf of California and along the Pacific coast of Baja California, and increase significantly this afternoon and evening.

The rains will be concentrated this Sunday in the southern part of the Baja California peninsula, mainly in Los Cabos. Hailfall at night is not ruled out, according to the weather system known locally as METMEX.

The cold front is then expected to  move from the Pacific waters over Baja California (Norte) tonight  through Monday morning.

The front is expected to reach central portions of Baja California Monday night and weaken as it moves over southern portions by Tueday night.
