Hotel Villas de Palmar in Loreto closes

The management of the hotel Villas del Palmar in Loreto announced yesterday that they will close the facilities for the time being, because of the cancellations they received for this season as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

This is the largest hotel of the Villagroup chain in this tourist port, so 500 employees will not work, but will receive their full salary until their return on April 18.

Before the reopening, maintenance work will be carried out in several areas of this flagship hotel in the port of Loreto.

The information was provided by the management in charge of Owen Perry and Luz Maria Torres.

"There will not be a single cut in personnel and it has even been decided to pay for delayed vacations, pending overtime, no days will be discounted and no solidarity days will be given, emphasizing that on the contrary, it is a matter of supporting all of us to face this difficult situation that comes from outside and is generating a sad reality".

LOS CABOS ARE STILL IN TROUBLE
Tourist cancellations have affected the most famous tourist destination on the peninsula. Today the hotel association warns through its president Lizli Orci Fregoso that 23 hotels have closed.

Some of these closures will be for one month, and in others they decide to stop for two months. The workers will not be affected by their salaries.
