The nightlife in Los Cabos bars will continue

With all recommended warning measures, including social distancing and strict sanitary protocols, Los Cabos' restaurant, bar and nightclub businesses will remain open until 2 a.m.

These nightclubs will only be allowed to work at 50 percent of their capacity and sanitary filters and antibacterial gel will be placed at the entrances.

This was announced by the tourism director of the Los Cabos government, Fátima Miranda Castro.

She added that so far the tourism businesses in Los Cabos have lost $80 million due to the cancellation of cruises to the bay from California.

According to the official web page that follows the CORONAVIRUS outbreak, as of today, Thursday the 19th, no case of CoVid-19  has been confirmed in Baja California Sur, although there are 5 suspects that are being investigated.

The governor of Baja California Sur, Carlos Mendoza Davis, said that at any moment this epidemic will be present, so the recommended sanitary measures must be well complied with.

This morning, in the tourist area of Cabo San Lucas, the owners of restaurants, bars and cantinas, along with their employees, cleaned up the main streets.

Contrary to Los Cabos, in La Paz the Municipal Health Council determined the closure from March 20 to April 20 of all bars, casinos, cabarets and nightclubs. There will also be a restriction on beaches to avoid crowding.

Restaurants will only allow 50 percent of customers to operate.
