Border Patrol Agents Render Aid to Stabbing Victim

LAREDO, Texas – Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo South Station rendered aid to a stabbing victim in south Laredo.

Late in the evening hours of April 5, agents encountered a male subject running across U.S. Highway 83 near a rest area close to Laredo College.  Upon making contact with the individual, agents discovered he was suffering from stab wounds to his back and upper extremities.  U.S. Border Patrol Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) responded and rendered aid to the individual.

Agents cared for the victim until the Laredo Fire Department arrived and took over aid.  The outstanding presence of mind and quick response of Border Patrol agents and EMTs helped ensure the safety of the individual.

Even with the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. Border Patrol agents of the Laredo Sector continue to render aid to those in need.
