COVID-19: Baja Police Show First Photos of Detainees on the Streets

Today, the photographs of the first detainees for not obeying the instructions to stay in their homes, given by the State Health Council on the occasion of the coronavirus epidemic, were released.

During the patrols of the security elements (Municipal Police, State Police and National Guard), an individual was found in the streets of Salvatierra and Picolo in Loreto downtown, who was not wearing a mask and did not explain why he was outside his house.

Also in the port of Loreto, a man and a woman, aged 32 and 20, were taken to the municipal prison for the same reason.

Similarly, in La Paz, in the Los Olivos and Guerrero neighborhoods, two suspects were detained without a reason for being outside their homes.

The Secretary of Public Security of Baja California Sur reminds all residents they must remain in their homes and respect the quarantine for the coronavirus epidemic.

The zero tolerance plan will be applied without restriction. The order of only one person per vehicle circulating in the streets will also be monitored.
