Still no certainty that Los Cabos will open in June

In a message transmitted last night by Facebook, the governor of Baja California Sur, Carlos Mendoza Davis, announced that there is still no security if non-essential activities can be restarted as of June 1.

This is because we continue in phase three in a high stage of transmission of coronavirus infections, so it is important that people continue in their homes.

But the possibility is being analyzed so that at least the construction sector and the mining industry can be reactivated on June 1.

Everything depends on the decisions of the State Security Council, based on scientific reports on the covid-19 epidemic.

For the time being, only one person per vehicle continues to be authorized. That is why police controls have been installed at random in La Paz and Los Cabos.

Furthermore, no one is allowed to stay in beach areas.

At the moment the only municipality in Baja California Sur that is not infected is Loreto.
