Shark Alert in Los Cabos Beach!

A shark alert was issued yesterday afternoon on the beaches of La Ribera, north of Los Cabos municipality

The fund for the protection of marine resources (FONMAR), gave notice to the municipal authority of La Ribera because in a surveillance tour on June 24 were spotted two sharks near the shore.

It is mentioned in the document that these specimens are approximately 6.5 feet long.

Municipal Delegate Juan Carlos Montano Ortiz is asked to warn tourists and local residents who use beaches in La Ribera to be careful.

From La Ribera to Cabo Pulmo, many sharks live in reefs, mainly of the mako and bull species.
