Two major hotels in La Paz and Los Cabos close

In the capital of Baja California Sur, it was announced that one of its most important hotels, La Concha, has definitely closed its doors and the entire building located on the shore of one of the most beautiful beaches, was put up for sale.

The 100-room hotel located on kilometer 5 of the road to Pichilingue closed on April 5. The workers expected to return on June 15, but were notified that the company is closing its doors and the building has been put up for sale.

Also in La Paz, Applebee's restaurant located in the area of the malecon (Bravo & Alvaro Obregón)  went bankrupt due to the crisis caused by the coronavirus.

At the beginning of the week it was announced that the Holiday Inn hotel in the city of San José del Cabo has closed. It was opened to tourism in 1982 under the name of Hotel El Presidente. It leaves 200 workers in uncertainty.
