According to the measures announced by the La Paz county government, the presence of police officers is increased so that the measure of absolute closure of all the beaches of La Paz, Todos Santos, Pescadero, Cerritos, Los Barriles, La Ventana, El Sargento, San Evaristo and Puerto Chale is respected.
They promptly installed controls at the accesses to the beaches to prevent people from entering, and 60 deputies patrolled the beaches to ensure compliance with the measure. The aim is to prevent further infections of the coronavirus.
Also in all stores in La Paz is restricted the sale of beer during the hours of 8 AM to 6 PM
"For the reasons that COVID-19 was expanded further, we are making the decision ... we will be doing surveillance operations, checking that they comply with the measures that are issued by the state and national health authorities," the city council said in a press release.
In Los Cabos, the beaches are only open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There are no restrictions on beer sales.
