CORONAVIRUS: Hospitals in La Paz Baja 'near collapse'

Dr. Jose Luis Urías Corrales, who enjoys the recognition of La Paz society, said the city's hospitals are on the verge of collapse so he called on health authorities to change the "traffic light" model from orange to red and lock everyone in their homes.

"The situation is getting out of control and all activities need to be suspended because there is no more capacity in the La Paz hospitals," said the doctor who was interviewed outside the IMSS facility in La Paz where 83 percent of the beds are occupied.

In that hospital today, 11 ventilators (photo) were delivered to attend to many patients who come from other parts of the state, including the municipality of Los Cabos.

Yesterday Baja California Sur surpassed 108 deaths from covid-19 with 2,472 infected.

Hospital bed occupancy in Cabo is at 40%; 752 cumulative cases and 28 deaths from COVID-19 in Los Cabos.
“PANDEMIA POR COVID”

🔴 “ESTAMOS EN UN PUNTO CRÍTICO DE LA PANDEMIA”, dijo el Dr. Urías en entrevista, donde señaló que: «Perderemos la batalla contra el COVID-19 en breves días” 🦠 ESTE VIRUS LE HA QUITADO LA VIDA A 117 PERSONAS DESDE QUE SE PROLIFERÓ EN BCS. 📈 SE LLEGA A 2574 CONTAGIADOS, CON 1358 ACTIVOS. DE SEGUIR ESTE PASO COLAPSARÁ EL SISTEMA DE SALUD. ¡¡¡HAGAN CASO NUESTRA VIDA PENDE DE UN HILO!!!.🙏
