Los Cabos' beaches are clean

After filling up with trash that was washed away by the Genevieve hurricane's rainwater currents, the cleanup of most of Los Cabos' beaches was finished today, Saturday.

The most serious problem took place in Playa el Medano in Cabo San Lucas, where several citizens, municipal government workers, civil associations and local businesses joined together to remove all the debris.

The waste was dragged by the "Salto Seco" stream that passes through several neighborhoods that are irregular settlements where people throw away all kinds of garbage, which includes a lot of plastic and car tires.

All of the garbage ended up in the depths of the Cabo San Lucas harbor which is a declared Marine Park area.
