Only material damage left in Los Cabos by the hurricane Geneveive

The afternoon and all-night approach of the hurricane Geneveive caused damage to the urban infrastructure of Los Cabos, according to official reports from authorities, and at the moment there is no record of any person injured or killed.

Genevieve had a been a powerful Category 4 hurricane with winds of 130 mph (215 km/h) on Tuesday, but weakened as it pushed past the Los Cabos region, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

Municipal government personnel, with backing from local businesses, are removing debris and dirt from the streets, and the telephone and electricity company is also working to restore services.

It is reported that due to power failures several neighborhoods were left without water.
