This winter, Alaska Airlines is adding direct flights between San Francisco and 3 sunny spots in Mexico

There's a lot to love about Mexico. The people, the beaches, the culture, the food! With so much of Mexico to see and experience, Alaska Airlines is announcing new service to connect our guests throughout the Bay Area to three new nonstop destinations south of the border from San Francisco International Airport – Loreto, Mazatlán and Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo.

Alaska Airlines has more nonstop flights to Mexico from the West Coast than any other airline in the United States.

The carrier will have up to 27 daily departures this winter, with 20 from California and seven from the Pacific Northwest.

"Our guests are eager to relax, unwind and have fun, and the places we fly to in Mexico are ideal places to do so," said Brett Catlin, vice president of network and alliances for Alaska Airlines.

"With a total of seven direct destinations  from the Bay Area this winter, including San Francisco and San Jose options, tropical paradise is just hours away. Plus, we offer convenient direct flights from Los Angeles and San Diego. to a variety of destinations in Mexico and Latin America, " he added.

On board, our guests will enjoy the amazing customer service we're known for. We've recently expanded food and beverage service on our flights, adding more West Coast inspired meals in First Class like Guajillo Chile-Lime Salad with ancient grains, and additional fresh food items throughout the cabin that can be pre-ordered before departure up to two weeks before departure. Guests can relax and get in a vacation state-of-mind with free craft beer, West Coast wines and cocktails in First Class and Premium Class, which are also available for purchase in the main cabin.
