Hurricane PAMELA heads for Mazatlan

Cabo San Lucas - This Tuesday, rains will continue in the south of the Baja California peninsula, while hurricane Pamela, category 1, continues its course towards the coasts of the Sinaloa state, where its impact will possibly occur in the early hours of Wednesday near Mazatlan.

It will bring abundant rain, although it is not considered that it could grow to category three.

According to the latest report from the National Water Commission (CONAGUA), Pamela will cause very heavy rains with occasional intense rains, very strong gusts of wind and high waves in the southern part of the peninsula.

At 12:15 p.m. today, PAMELA was located 280 km (173,9 Miles) south-southeast of Cabo San Lucas, B.C.S., and 430 km (267,1 miles) southwest of Mazatlan, so the population in general is advised to take extreme precautions due to rain, wind and waves (including maritime navigation).
