It is officially reported that a young man from Arizona died after falling into a ditch outside the Riu Hotel early Monday morning.

The Attorney General's Office was notified of the incident at 4:20 a.m., so state officials went to the scene, at kilometer 3.5 of Colonia El Medano.

The lifeless body of the springbreaker was in the hotel's drainage channel, so he was taken to the Forensic Medical Service, where after being analyzed by legal doctors, it was determined that he died of asphyxia.
