Los Cabos airport receives a new record number of tourists


The Mayor of Los Cabos, Lorena Torralbo, was very pleased to learn that in a single day the airport welcomed 8,500 tourists, with all the required health guarantees for the safety of visitors.

In this regard, the municipal director of Tourism in Los Cabos, Alejandro Bonilla Guerrero, emphasized that the municipality remains among the favorites of the foreign visitor: "thanks to the management and good practices we have had before the contingency, that is to say: to comply with the norms established by the Health sector and to follow the protocols of the Health Alert System of Baja California Sur, has given us as a result that the resort continues to position itself in the eyes of the tourist. Last Saturday, March 13th we had a very good increase in passengers, in fact we broke our record with 8,595 passengers arriving".

The Tourism director continued detailing that the massive vaccination in America and the beginning of the vaccination of senior citizens in Los Cabos, as well as the hygiene protocols implemented, have made tourists spread the word and start their trips; he added that is vacation time in both countries and in Los Cabos, also it is whale watching season.

To conclude, Alejandro Bonilla highlighted that the hotel sector will remain at 36% this Easter Week 2021 so that Los Cabos remains the leader in Latin America.
