Alcohol sales until six in the evening in Los Cabos

During the Municipal Security Committee, headed by Mayor Armida Castro Guzmán, it was determined that in Los Cabos the restriction of hours will continue until the number of COVID-19 infections and hospital saturation decreases; in addition to continuing to monitor that sanitary measures are complied with in establishments and public spaces.

In this sense, the mayor explained that areas such as Civil Protection, Public Safety, Health and Fiscal Inspection, -to mention a few-, verify that the sanitary filters are respected in the spaces, as well as the 30% capacity, allowed in level 5, of the Sanitary Alert System in Baja California Sur.

He reminded that massive events are suspended; there are no permits for pyrotechnics; the sale of alcohol is allowed until 6:00 in the evening in mini-markets, shopping malls and supermarkets; only 11 beaches are authorized with a schedule from 6:00 in the morning to 6:00 in the evening.

"We ask citizens to be understanding and empathetic to avoid the increase of coronavirus cases. The Secretary of Health and those who work inside the hospital institutions, ask the population for their support and backing so that we can advance in  the indicator signal," said Mayor Armida Castro Guzman.

Finally, she announced that Los Cabos continues at level 5 of the Health Alert System, which authorizes a 30% capacity in establishments; a distance of 4 meters per person, as well as the closure of religious temples, movie theaters and gyms.
