Los Cabos will be connected to Spain by Iberojet

Los Cabos will reach the European market on June 20, 2022, according to Iberojet's promise of a direct connection to Madrid (MAD).

Iberojet, a Spanish charter airline, has announced the inauguration of a route connecting Madrid and Los Cabos, Mexico, utilizing an Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) will receive the latest Airbus widebody for the first time.

It will be one of the country's few airports to provide A350 flights.

Miguel Ángel Sánchez, Ávoris CEO, said in a statement,

“With this new link, Iberojet demonstrates its commitment to Mexico, a country to which we fly from the start of our operations in 2013. The ambitious flight development plan that we have for 2022 is taking shape thanks to this new destination, which will allow Spanish travelers to enjoy the tourist, cultural and gastronomic charms of this beautiful Mexican region”.

With the launch of this new route, SJD will be able to attract up to 8,000 additional tourists next year.

On December 15, 2021, Iberojet will begin selling tickets for the new route on its website and through a number of travel companies in Spain and Portugal.

There are currently no flights from Europe to Los Cabos.

It now has 4,558 scheduled flights each month, up 22.1 percent from pre-pandemic levels.
